8 March 2013 - CollectPlus, the largest store-based parcel service in the UK, is now offering customers the option of collecting purchases from its network of over 5,000 convenience stores and petrol stations even more quickly by using a unique barcode sent to their mobile phone.
For those using the “Click&Collect+” service offered by a growing number of retailers, including Amazon, House of Fraser, ASOS and Very.co.uk, it has never been easier or more convenient to pick up purchases.
When collecting a parcel, customers with a smartphone or tablet can now present the barcode, which significantly reduces the transaction time. CollectPlus sends the collection code to the customer when their parcel arrives at their selected store, which they then show to the shopkeeper at the point of collection.
Neil Ashworth, CEO of CollectPlus, said:
“CollectPlus is constantly looking to provide its customers with a personalised solution to collecting their online purchases. The convenience stores and petrol stations in our network, for example, are carefully chosen because they are close to where our customers live and work, allowing them to easily incorporate picking up a parcel into their everyday routine.
“The new collection code is a fantastic time-saving innovation, making our Click&Collect+ service even quicker and easier to use, and complementing the busy lives of our customers.”
CollectPlus is a joint venture between PayPoint, the UK’s leading retail payment network, and the UK’s leading parcel delivery company, Yodel.
